TERMINAL TOPPING OUT

Yesterday, the airport?s new international terminal got closer to completion, as city and airport leaders signed their names to the final structural steel beam, then watched it hoisted into place.
 

Attendees included Mayor Kasim Reed, Delta CEO Richard Anderson, and airport aviation general manager Ben DeCosta. Come 2012, The Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal will be 1.2M SF, with 12 gates and nine security checkpoints. The best part for Atlantans: When we arrive home on an international flight, we won't have to re-check baggage after clearing customs anymore!
