We couldn't help ourselves; we had to check out the scene at the Marriott Conference Center near Lenox Square in Buckhead. We didn't find the long lines that we saw at a downtown casting call five years back during the show?s heyday. This morning auditions started at 8, and by 9:30 (when we snapped this picture), the workers had handed out only 127 green armbands, which serve as tickets to auditions. Staffers said they had 500 armbands available. Recent seasons have featured celebrities, but the NBC show is looking for regular contestants again, especially people who are out of work. Casting director Kara Udell tells us: ?It's a little heavier this time. All these people are really capable, talented people who, for whatever reason, have been affected by the recession, and we're looking for that."
