Parkway Buying The Forum at Paces West

Parkway Properties has purchased the long-struggling The Forum at West Paces. Parkway—which made headlines in '11 when it spent big on 3344 Peachtree—reported this week in an SEC filing that it picked up a $50M first mortgage secured by the 212k SF office building that's part of the Piazza at Paces project. According to the filing, Parkway purchased the note for $47M out of special servicing. As such, the company can foreclose on it now to fully acquire the building. We previously reported that The Forum was a candidate for Intercontinental Exchange's HQ in 2013.
