Forest City Ratner Introduces the Bridge

Today Forest City Ratner unveiled The Bridge at Cornell Tech, a Weiss/Manfredi-designed building that will house a limited number of startup and established companies on the cutting edge of digital technology. The LEED Silver certified building will be on the east side of Roosevelt Island, offering views of the waterfront, Queens and Manhattan. The Bridge's campus will have an ecosystem of companies, researchers, entrepreneurs, students and faculty all under one roof. This collaboration of academia and industry will allow companies to test and launch products, while also creating a sense of healthy competition within the hub. Innovative companies will be able to work side-by-side with groundbreaking academic teams in flexible workspaces and loft-like common areas. Construction began on The Bridge in May, with delivery expected in summer of 2017. Two other main buildings, including a residential high-rise, will be included as part of Phase 1.
