GreenSource’s Jane Kolleeny, Perkins Eastman’s Craig Norsted, Global Green USA’s Annie White, John Gallin & Son’s Tom Gallin, The Marketing Resource’s Jane Felsen Gertler, and The Business Development Institute’s Steve Etzler at LDI Color Toolbox Event
Yesterday, we dropped by the showroom of LDI Color ToolBox for GREEN UP, its sustainability series for the AEC industry. LDI provides eco-friendly digital office technologywhich we assume means moving the copier closer to your desk, so you don’t have to drive your Hummer to use it. LDI notes that savings in print consumables generates a measurable ROI and reduction in most offices’ carbon footprint. (We're doing our part: all electronic.) Esteemed panelists: GreenSource’s Jane Kolleeny, Perkins Eastman’s Craig Norsted, Global Green USA’s Annie White, John Gallin & Son’s Tom Gallin, The Marketing Resource’s Jane Felsen Gertler, and The Business Development Institute’s Steve Etzler.

Kermit the Frog may have sung “It’s Not Easy Being Green,” but the event certainly tried to make the process easier—roundtable discussions focused on the cost of LEED and LEED alternatives; marketing green; extra requirements on the general contractor in the LEED process; getting published in the green press;integrated building design; green schools; and building while supporting other urban sustainability initiatives like recycling, waste recovery, and urban agriculture.
