Renowned chef José Andrés is finally entering the New York food scene, in perhaps the biggest way imaginable.

Andrés has signed a lease for a 35K SF food hall at 10 Hudson Yards, the first building of the massive West Side project to open. Shake Shack's Danny Meyer was in talks to fill the space, but Andrés will instead use it to house a series of Spanish eateries, the New York Post reports.

The hall will reportedly contain Spanish cuisine in several styles and at several price points, and would bring in culinary collaborators — which, if true, would fit with Andrés' history of bringing other chefs to the menu at his restaurants.
