A&P Unloads NYC Real Estate Assets

Placeholder

A&P, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July, has some takers on bids to sell off much of its NYC real estate. Key Food put in the winning bid for the trio of Food Emporium stores at 1175 Third Ave, 452 West 43rd St and 250 West 50th St.

Gristedes is picking up the store at 1450 Third Ave, and CVS is taking the location at 969 Second Ave. Morton Williams will pay $22M for the additional Manhattan locations. Some stores operating under other brand names are finding bidders, too. In Brooklyn, Met Foods is taking the Food Basics store at 2185 Coyle St, Food Partners will buy the Waldbaum’s at 3100 Ocean Ave and Stop & Shop is adding a Pathmark at 625 Atlantic Ave to its holdings.
