Michael Gross, real estate author (just like us) of books like House of Outrageous Fortune and 740 Park: The Story of the World’s Richest Apartment Building (OK, slightly more successful than us), purchased a $1.18M co-op at 860 United Nations Plaza according to the Commercial Observer. (Who knew commercial real estate writing could be so lucrative?) Gross and his wife sold their condo at the Alwyn in June for $2.8M, the Observer reports. (We're putting our apartment chateau on the market. It has shower curtains and a deluxe microwave...a decent microwave...an occasionally functional microwave.) The space reportedly has large glass windows and marble baths and the couple plans to make improvements to the kitchen. (We’ll take the microwave if he’s planning on throwing it out.)
