Billionaire's UES Townhouse Gets Price Chop to $21.5M

The Ukrainian billionaire Alexander Rovt hacked $5.5M off the ask on his 12k SF UES townhouse at 232 East 63rd St. The place is now asking $21.5M. It’s got a basement pool/spa, a garage, a movie theater decked out in art deco décor, and mahogany-paneled walls. He picked it up for $4.7M from Rocky Aoki, the founder of the Benihana restaurant chain, back in 2005, the NY Daily News reports. Warburg Realty's Jason Haber is repping the seller. The billionaire never actually lived in the place despite sinking millions into customizing it to his taste (he found a bigger townhouse elsewhere on the UES).  [Daily News]
