Ivanhoe Cambridge Just Dropped a Record $2B on Three Bryant Park

Blackstone Group has sold Three Bryant Park (pictured above), and Canada-based Ivanhoe Cambridge has gained yet another foothold in its already impressive US portfolio. Ivanhoe announced the $2B acquisition, in partnership with Callahan Capital Properties, Friday. The sale of the 1.2M SF office property at 1095 Avenue of the Americas is the second most expensive office-building sale in national history, reports the Wall Street Journal. The No. 1 spot belongs to the $2.8B General Motors building sale in 2008. Ivanhoe plans to continue building its portfolio with more diverse big city property around the US. The Midtown property, home to MetLIfe and Verizon, is 97% leased.
