Dock 72 At The Navy Yard Breaks Ground
The 16-story building will jut out into Wallabout Bay and is projected to house 4,000 jobs when it opens—which is set to happen by the end of next year, Crain’s reports.
More ground-up development at the Navy Yard is expected, and the 300-acre complex has as much as 20M SF of development rights at its disposal. Several existing buildings a the site are being retrofitted to be able to house creative office tenants, like the 1M SF Building 77.
Nearby properties are also in the process of being converted for tech and creative office tenants, most prominently the 550k SF 47 Hall complex, which RXR recently picked up with Westbrook Partners for $161M. [Crain’s]
