Prospect Park Couldn't Car Less

Prospect Park has adopted a car-free attitude. Following the implementation of car restrictions in Central Park, the city has adopted a similar approach at Brooklyn's signature green space, where autos will no longer be permitted along West Drive from Grand Army Plaza to Park Circle, according to New York 1. On the park's eastern side, vehicular traffic will only be allowed between 7am and 9am on weekdays. Both Central and Prospect parks are already car-free on weekends. The DOT is considering banning traffic from both parks altogether, but more research will be required before that happens. [NY1]
