(More) Condos Coming to East Bushwick: 1290 Decatur St Revealed

Renderings have surfaced for a four-story, 32-unit condo project under construction at 1290-1300 Decatur St in Bushwick. That's right at the eastern edge of Bushwick. It's the part of the neighborhood where the streets are starting to show more and more signs of the reinvestment that has revolutionized Bushwick's western half, which was swamped much sooner by the Williamsburg tidal wave. Plans filed last November reveal four, eight-unit buildings, totaling 21,084 SF of residential space. That works out to about 680 SF per unit, according to NY YIMBY. The condos will be a mix of one- and two-bedrooms, with duplexes and private terraces on the top two floors. S3 Architecture will design the buildings, which will have gray brick facades, wood wall paneling, balconies, and windows and doors that mix steel and glass. Developer Rimon Gabbay purchased the properties for $495k in 2013. [NYY]
