Extell Could Grab Yet Another Site on Billionaire’s Row

Extell’s in talks to scoop up yet another development site on Billionaire’s Row. The developer of One57 and the Nordstrom Tower (the future tallest building in the Western Hemisphere) is a finalist to get the site of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Salisbury Hotel, reports NY YIMBY. Extell’s got some air rights to burn that it didn’t use on One57, which could help it land the site at 123 West 57th St. The firm also owns adjacent plots, so an assemblage could be in the works. A dearth of air rights, even with some leftovers, means whatever goes up won’t go as high up as the nearby supertalls—as high as perhaps 1,000 feet—which in that part of town these days, is hardly skyline-altering. No completion date or architect have been made public. [NYY]
