Colliers to Acquire RKF?
In a deal that would continue the consolidation trend in the commercial real estate industry, Colliers International is expected to acquire leading retail brokerage RKF. Robert K. Futterman (pictured) reportedly informed RKF executives about the deal on Friday. If completed, acquiring the large retail firm would boost Colliers retail presence in New York City, where RKF is based, according to The Real Deal. Tri-state region president Michael Cohen wouldn't comment on the acquisition, but spoke of a "new epoch" where firms are merging and expanding their offerings. Last fall, CBRE was in talks to acquire RKF, with insiders predicting a price tag between $40M and $80M. [TRD]
