Brooklyn Citi Bike is Doubling in Size?

New York

Citi Bike's new chief, Jay Walder, is remaining optimistic in spite of financial issues and a bruised reputation. His ambitious new plan involves bringing bikes and docking stations to Brooklyn's Community Board 6 by late 2017, doubling the program's Brooklyn presence. This move will provide Red Hook some much-needed transportation, and bring bikes to Carroll Gardens, Gowanus, Cobble Hill, and later, Park Slope, Curbed reports. Meanwhile, Long Island City, Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bed-Stuy, are all set to get 90 new stations by the end of this year. [Curbed]
