C&W Americas retail leader Matt Winn (right, with NY senior director Steven Soutendijk) tells us to watch the continued rise of luxury in off-prime locations (think Ulaanbaatar couture), worldwide urbanization, and a greater focus on outlets. Here, it's all about Lower Manhattan, with the WTC, Brookfield Place, and Fulton Center transforming retail. Steven and colleagues Brad Mendelson and Alan Schmerzler are marketing 35k SF at 195 Broadway and 25k SF at 222 Broadway for L&L, to which they hope to attract a national retailer similar to others nearby (think Urban Outfitters at 180 Broadway).
