TRANSWESTERN GOES NORTHEASTERN
Transwestern's Patrick Robinson and Lindsay Ornstein
Transwestern operates in over 25 markets, but the Northeast is getting its first push; it's tapped former Staubach and Centric Real Estate Advisors execs Patrick Robinson and Lindsay Ornstein to head its new NY office. Patrick, who is president of the Northeast Region, founded Staubach’s NY office in ’96 and ran the tenant rep business for 10 years before its JLL acquisition. A former colleague recommended him for the position, and now he and Lindsay—who have worked together almost 10 years—are focused on growing itsbuilding management, leasing, and investment service lines, which will primarily cover office properties in the NY, NJ, Fairfield, Westchester, and Boston markets. The firm is actively recruiting new talent for all its service lines, and has already hired two executives. Expect a measured growth, with three senior brokers and a supporting staff joining within the next few months.
Transwestern CEO Larry Heard
Transwestern CEO Larry Heard (at a Bisnow Houston event in June) says that the firm anticipates that New York will continue to set the tempo for the nation’s economic recovery, making it an ideal time for Transwestern to grow its Northeast presence. Patrick, his wife, and three children are also involved in Tanzania’s Teamwork City of Hope, a self-sustaining community that teaches skills and provides healthcare and nutrition for the country’s orphans. They sponsor children in the community and visited there the summer before last— a “significant experience,” he says. Lindsay, who founded UPENN’s women’s varsity golf team and is an avid skiier, is mom to two little girls, and participates in a community outreach program on the Upper West Side and in YMWREA.
