STUDY: SUSTAINABLE REIGNS
LEED Certification Plaque
Sustainable buildings generate stronger investment returns than traditionally managed properties, according to an ongoing study of a 150-building national office portfolio managed by CBRE. There's a higher value and increased demand for green, particularly for LEED certified buildings. The study also found that 19% of more than 2,500 tenant respondents reported increased productivity and 94% of tenant managers registered higher employee satisfaction in green office space. This is the third phase of a multi-year study (launched in '09) between CBRE, the University of San Diego'sBurnham-Moores Center for Real Estate, and McGraw-Hill Construction.
