Remembering Ruth Agnese

Our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Ruth Agnese, who died April 18, her 51st birthday. Described by friends as "talented, tireless, bigger than life, and a born leader," Ruth was president of Appraisers and Planners, where she worked for 33 years. Her insight, knowledge, and warmth endeared her to all who knew her, says firm chairman Jim Levy. She worked the WTC site, and the GM, Empire State, and Solow buildings, among others. She was also active in the Metropolitan NY chapter of the Appraisal Institute and AREW, serving as a past president for both, as well as the Mortgage Bankers Association. The Hamden, Conn., resident is survived by her husband Tony, children John and Erica, and siblings Joan, Lisa, and Paul. Visitation is today at M.A. Connell Funeral Home (934 New York Ave, Huntington, Long Island, 631-427-1123), 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
