PUNKY POWER
Soleil Moon Frye
Forget the traditional cocktail event—residential building marketers are now turning to celebs, autos, fashion, and more to bring hype to their spaces. Luxury condo-op Azure (333 E 91st St) and event planner Divalysscious Moms recently hosted a book launch and signing for Soleil Moon Frye's Happy Chaos. (Don't recognize her without pigtails? It is ‘80s sitcom sweetheart Punky Brewster.) The event attracted 100 attendees to the 3,000 SF, $4.3M unit. And Prudential Douglas Elliman's Eklund-Gomes Group held a private Luca Luca trunk show and Ivanka Trump jewelry show last Monday at Trump SoHo in celebration of Fashion Week.

Partnerships work well: FiDi's 20 Pine hosted an open house tour with 75 Wall Street, coordinating with neighborhood businesses to offer perks like $50 gift certificates to Captial Grille and chocolate from La Maison du Chocolat. And Chelsea's Carriage House (159 W 24th St) partnered with the Classic Car Club of Manhattan to give its first six buyers a weekend with some elite autos, including a 1965 AC Shelby Cobra and 1969 Jaguar E-type.
