NAIO-Partiers
National Land Tenure’s Matthew Schmeelk, Eurohypo’s Dan, Property Resources Corp.’s Peter Auerbach, and Beckerman Real Estate Fund Advisory's Sagar Dalal
It’s holiday party season, and NAIOP NYC was the first to kick off the merrymaking last night as 100 gathered at Patrick Conway’s. Beckerman Real Estate Fund Advisory’s Sagar Dalal (right, with National Land Tenure’s Matthew Schmeelk, Eurohypo’s Dan Finelli, and Property Resources Corp.’s Peter Auerbach) tells us that his 15-month-old daughter is convinced that the Christmas tree is a new toy—we’ll tally broken ornaments later. His tree’s not the only bright spot. There’s more evidence of a real estate acquisition pipeline, and more people are putting funds together for deals in ’11, he says. Now’s an excellent time for local operators with good track records to add value to their investors, Peter adds.
BDO’s Jeff Parker, Celestial Capital Group’s Ed Miller, Ackman-Ziff’s Rick Lechtman, The Quest Organization’s Michael Rosenblatt, and JLL’s Paul Formichelli
BDO’s Jeff Parker, Celestial Capital Group’s Ed Miller, Ackman-Ziff’s Rick Lechtman, The Quest Organization’s Michael Rosenblatt, and JLL’s Paul Formichelli. Jeff had quite an eventful Thanksgiving two years ago—halfway through cooking the feast, the oven broke. It held up through this year’s Turkey Day, only to break again last night. (This time he figured out how to “reboot” it with complicated maneuver.) Usually, we’d poke fun at Ed for being the lone Steelers fan in a group of Giants diehards, but Bisnow’s resident Pittsburgh fan-slash-DC reporter Amanda Metcalf discovered that a healthy number of our readers indeed wave the Terrible Towel (and we don’t want you clicking that unsubscribe button).
YREPNY president Erik Dowling, Wells Fargo’s Joe Tufariello (chapter prez), Landstar Title Agency’s Marco Botarelli, Strategic Capital Solution’s Tim Callahan, and Fireball Network’s Deena Baikowitz
YREPNY president Erik Dowling, Wells Fargo’s Joe Tufariello(chapter prez), Landstar Title Agency’s Marco Botarelli, Strategic Capital Solution’s Tim Callahan, and Fireball Network’s Deena Baikowitz. Marco notes a considerable uptick in commercial and residential refinancing activity, while Tim reports that a loosening market encouraged his firm to launch a hospitality lending program two weeks ago. It plans on putting out $130M over the next year for assets in major MSAs nationwide. In addition to counting Sagar’s broken ornaments, we’ll also be tallying how many times we bump into Deena over the next month. Given her line of business, she’s giving Bisnow a run for the money in holiday party invites (including YREPNY’s this coming Monday). Want us to stop by your shindig? E-mail us!
