Chill with AREW
WB Wood's Laurie Hutner, Perkins+Will’s Debra Cole, and Troutman Sanders’ Sonia Kaur Bain
The weather outside was frightful, but it didn’t stop over 100 AREWmembers from networking at the appropriately named Celsius last night (for those who haven’t been there yet, it’s Bryant Park’s annual winter pop-up restaurant). There, we snapped WB Wood's Laurie Hutner, Perkins+Will’s Debra Cole, and Troutman Sanders’ Sonia Kaur Bain, who planned the event and have been eying the wintery venue since last year. It was an appropriate kick-off for the association’s 2011 calendar, and now they can start assembling theboxing ring: On Feb. 1, AREW’s hosting its first monthly luncheon for the year, Massey vs Knakal, where Viacom/MTV’s Ellen Albertwill emcee a head-to-head between Massey Knakal CEO Paul Massey and chairman Bob Knakal on their market views (for a sneak peek, check back tomorrow).
Howard Wechsler, Zetlin & DeChiara’s Lina Telese, Marketing for Designers’ Iva Kravitz, Teknion's Julia Glazer, and Anchin, Block &Anchin’s Megan Klingbeil and Sharon Brenner
Industry photographer Howard Wechsler (whom we finally caught in front of the camera), Zetlin & DeChiara’s Lina Telese, Marketing for Designers’ Iva Kravitz, Teknion's Julia Glazer, and Anchin, Block & Anchin’s Megan Klingbeil and Sharon Brenner. Iva just returned from The Barnes Foundation in Philly, which she’s been itching to see ever since she took art history at the University of Vermont in 1975. Time is dwindling to see the collection—which includes pieces from Renior, Cezanne, Matisse, and others—just as Albert Barnes collected it (his trust called for the collection to never be separated or changed). Lina, meanwhile, had an dry run Super Bowl party(which will see a repeat performance) as her and the diehard family rooted for the Jets last weekend.
FTI The Schonbraun McCann Group’s Laura Jackson, JFK&M Consulting’s Pat Hildebrandt, Paramount Painting Group’s Mitchell Nichtberger, Hillmann Group’s Kelly Jarosz, and Ysrael A. Seinuk Consulting Engineers’ Beatriz Seinuk-Ackerman
FTI The Schonbraun McCann Group’s Laura Jackson, JFK&M Consulting’s Pat Hildebrandt, Paramount Painting Group’s Mitchell Nichtberger, Hillmann Group’s Kelly Jarosz, and Ysrael A. Seinuk Consulting Engineers’ Beatriz Seinuk-Ackerman. Pat’s looking forward to an exceptional 2011 and already reports that calls for projects ranging from corporate interiors to medical facilities are on the uptick. This is also the last time we’ll probably see Laura until tax season is over—a well-deserved cocktail before hunkering downwith the numbers.
