A Fitting Tribute
Benenson Capital Partners EVPs Lawrence Benenson and Fred Benenson, Diller Scofidio + Renfro project architect Ben Gilmartin, and Lincoln Center Development Project executive director Ron Austin
We also joined the Benenson family for the unveiling of Lincoln Center's Charles B. Benenson Grove, donated by the late industry leader's three sons in memory of their father, a patron. Benenson Capital Partners EVP Lawrence Benenson (with brother and EVP Fred, Diller Scofidio + Renfro project architect Ben Gilmartin, and Lincoln Center Development Project executive director Ron Austin) was in his mother's womb when his parents attended Lincoln Center's '66 opening. He tells us it's a fitting tribute for his father, who gave so much to his family and NYC. The 3.5k SF Grove, which includes 35 quaking aspen trees and benches (the more trees, the better, Charles believed), is one part of Lincoln Center's redevelopment projects to renovate the 16-acre urban campus, and anchors the new Lincoln Center Promenade on Columbus Avenue.
