JLL Opens New Office In Princeton With Former Colliers Team

JLL launched its Princeton office in January 2019 with Vinny Di Meglio as senior vice president, Thomas Romano as managing director and Timothy Norris as senior vice president.

JLL is opening a new office in a major New Jersey market, and doing so with a team lifted from a competitor.

The international brokerage firm announced Tuesday the launch of its Princeton office, to be headed by Thomas Romano as managing director. Romano comes straight from Colliers International, which he still listed as his current employer on his LinkedIn page at the time of the announcement.

Romano will be bringing key members of his Princeton team from Colliers, with Timothy Norris and Vinny Di Meglio both named senior vice presidents at JLL's new office. T.J. Romano will also join the office as an associate.

“The Princeton area is the second-largest Class-A submarket in New Jersey, and Tom Romano and his colleagues have a truly dominant agency presence in the area,” JLL New Jersey office head Dan Loughlin said in a press release. “The market is highly parochial, so JLL having a physical presence there is crucial.”

Romano had been at Colliers since 2013, most recently as executive managing director. Before that, he worked at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank from 2007 to 2012, finishing up as managing principal. Di Meglio and Norris were with him at both previous stops.

The team will operate at a new location in Princeton, according to the release. JLL did not respond to requests for further details on the new office. The Princeton team is the latest in a series of departures from Colliers in the Northeast over the past few months.
