Silver Lake Looks Into Selling Vantage Data Centers For About $1B

Placeholder

Silver Lake Partners is evaluating the sale of Vantage Data Centers and hopes the company could sell for more than $1B, including debt, according to people familiar with the matter.

The private equity firm is considering selling off Vantage as the sector continues to consolidate, with REITs and buyout firms purchasing similar assets because of the stable cash flows they offer, Reuters reports.

Vantage Data Centers is based in Santa Clara, CA, and was formed in 2010 after Silver Lake acquired the campus from Intel. Silver Lake is under contract with DH Capital and Royal Bank of Canada to facilitate the auction. [Reuters]
