BOSTON: MIT's Next $1B Plan

Placeholder

Smart kids need to crash every now and then to give those big brains a chance to recuperate. MIT director of campus planning Pam Delphenic, who will be speaking at Bisnow's Boston Student Housing Summit this Dec 17, tells us the Institute plans to spend at least $1B on its capital renewal program to renovate existing academic and research buildings as well as housing for the approximately 6,000 undergrad and grad students who live on the Cambridge campus. She tells us MIT has added more than 1,800 new beds in the last decade, spending more than $1B and growing by 25%.
