8 Apps To Download Before Bisnow's Annual Student Housing Summit

Most business conferences can be a little chaotic and Bisnow’s Annual Student Housing summit is no exception. With many exciting panelists, old friends catching up and meeting new potential clients and partners, it’s no wonder many of us turn to technology to help us manage it all. According to a study by American Express Meetings & Events, 55% of conference attendees use apps to help manage the event experience.

Here are some of the best apps to have in your pocket during the conference:

CamCard. CamCard helps you capture all the business cards you’ll be receiving at the conference, and all the contact information can be quickly and accurately read and saved to your smartphone.

Evernote. Hands down the best app for taking notes. Also useful for storing photos, travel info and other tidbits.

Twitter. Use the #BASH hashtag to follow the events as they happen on social media, and don't forget to mention @Bisnow!

WiFiMap. This handy app gives you the passwords for free wi-fi in public areas.

LinkedIn. You’ll need this to look up speakers, new contacts and other people and companies mentioned at the conference.

AudioBoo. A social networking app that allows users to upload audio.

CoStarGo. Users can search CoStar’s database for properties or listings in a specific location, great for learning about the areas and assets panelists mention. Results are displayed on a Google map. Selecting a property displays information about its agents, landlords and principals. Market data such as area occupancy, absorption rate and a financial calculator also are included.

LoopNet Commercial Real Estate Search. LoopNet’s app allows users to search for rental or sale properties near their current location or in a specified city or state. Results are plotted on a Google map. Property details include rental rate, broker contact information, and description.
