55-plus Housing Market Still Going Strong

Placeholder

The NAHB’s 55-plus Housing Market Index continued to show signs of builder confidence in the single-family 55-plus market. In the report released on Thursday, both present and expected sales showed an increase while prospective buyer traffic dropped. The severe winter weather in parts of the country had an impact, but overall the outlook remains bullish. Outlook for the 55-plus condo market was mixed. Confidence in building decreased while confidence in rentals continues to rise, signaling the desire to live in these types of developments but not necessarily to own.  [RER]
