Boutique Fitness Company Focused On Rowing Docks In San Francisco As Part Of Nationwide Expansion
A boutique fitness chain focused on rowing is expanding into the San Francisco market. Irvine-based Row House plans to open nine San Francisco locations by 2019. The first location will open in November. The fitness company offers various rowing classes where participants row on the same stroke and move as a unit but have the ability to work at their own intensity.
The company’s entrance into San Francisco is part of its nationwide growth plans. It has already signed 47 franchise agreements in the last five months. New locations are set for Connecticut, Colorado, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
Its largest agreement is for 10 locations in Illinois to open by 2022. Row House plans to also add three locations in New York. The company has plans to open 100 studios each year through 2022.
Row House was founded in 2014 in New York City and has two New York studios and one California location open, according to its website.
The boutique fitness company is backed by Xponential Fitness and is actively seeking franchise partners. Ideal studio spaces are 2K SF to 2,500 SF and have a minimum frontage of 31 feet. Studios should be close to or visible from major traffic routes and freeways and close to other fitness concepts.
The company prefers anchored shopping centers in urban centers. Class-A or Class-B locations with everyday uses, such as coffee, pet stores, salons, juice shops, etc., are preferred. Ideal neighbors are health and wellness concepts, gourmet national coffee brands and premium or local grocery stores.
