Position: VP of asset management with McCarthy Cook & Co; vice chair of BOMA International.

How he got involved in property management: I was a leasing broker for a building that RREEF purchased, and RREEF hired me to run the asset. RREEF’s philosophy was that its leasing personnel also should manage the assets, so I quickly learned the property management side of the business, too.

I also am the immediate past president of BOMA California. I serve as the chief of my daughters’ YMCA Indian Princess tribe, and I coach both of their softball and soccer teams.

Daily habit: Each night, when I put the kids to sleep, I say, “Bad dreams, bad dreams go away, good dreams, good dreams here to stay."

Favorite book: The Match by Mark Frost.

Favorite music: I like all music, but country music (Zac Brown Band or Garth Brooks) is my favorite right now.

Family life: I am married to my beautiful wife, Erin, and have three awesome kids: Emma (10), Maggie (7) and Jack (2).

Startling fact: The summer before my senior year in college, I drove to the North Pole, Alaska, with my best friend.
