Spend Your Valentine's Day At One Of These Very Romantic Resorts

    Couples looking to escape the responsibilities of work and family life for a romantic getaway this Valentine's Day have a vast array of luxury options to choose from in the U.S. alone. Bisnow honed in on several resorts known as the most romantic in the country, according to online travel company TripAdvisor and Travel & Leisure magazine.

    Enchantment Resort, Sedona, Ariz.

    The name alone exudes romance and a certain mystique that couples looking for a romantic getaway can find within Arizona’s Boynton Canyon. Sitting atop 70 acres of natural terrain, the resort, which is roughly $245/night, boasts high beamed ceilings and Native American accents, with half a dozen pools, six tennis courts, hiking tours and hundreds of other activities available. An added bonus: Couples have a constant view of the Red Rock Mountains, which the resort boasts are “known for inspiring the mind, body, and soul.”

    The Carneros Inn, Napa, Calif.

    Acres upon acres of vineyards, apple orchards and farmland make up the backdrop of this Napa, Calif., resort. The inn boasts three full-service restaurants, separate adult and children pools, and an array of wine country activities. Carneros Inn has 86 tin-roofed cottages fit with heated floors and wood-burning fireplaces, with a slate of romantic offerings — including complimentary bikes for wine-tasting tours and trips through the gardens and grapevines. It fetches a pretty steep price though, averaging roughly $426/night.

    Chanticleer Guest House, Bay, Wis.

    Converted into a bed-and-breakfast, this 19th century farmhouse and barn sits atop 30 acres within the orchards of Door County. The resort, about $120/night, was designed with seclusion for couples in mind, and guests can choose from the main suites or a selection of four luxury cottages isolated within 40 acres of woods for optimal privacy.

    Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur, Calif.

    Known for its 41 freestanding wooden suites with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this resort off Highway 1 has a breathtaking view and an array of amenities to complement it, including its infinity pool (pictured) overlooking the ocean. Rooms have wood-burning fireplaces, deep spa-like tubs and private decks. The lack of clocks and televisions at the inn forces couples to tune in to one another. Prices average about $625/night, including complimentary breakfast.

    Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, Santa Fe, N.M.

    This luxury New Mexico getaway includes 65 casita-style rooms, a locally sourced restaurant and a luxury spa. Each room has its own terrace and features high beamed ceilings and Southwestern artwork and comes with a terrace with a view of the Rio Grande River. The property was developed with couples in mind and boasts heated floors, a deep two-person soaking tub and wood-burning fireplaces.
