Equinix Expands International Footprint

National Data Center
Placeholder

Speaking of international data center expansion, Equinix is exploring two foreign markets. The California company announced plans to develop a data center in London--an 86k SF expansion of its London Slough campus (pictured here)--and Melbourne. Equinix's Russel Poole says the London project is fielding increased demand from financial service firms in the City of London wanting a more diverse footprint outside the city. The $60M, 105k SF Melbourne facility is scheduled to be delivered later this year and is expected to be used to gain more access to the Asia-Pacific rim data center action.
