The auto industry is making unprecedented moves of late—just this week, Uber rolled out its first self-driving cars in Pittsburgh, for example.

To better understand and tackle the challenges of the automotive sector, Cushman & Wakefield has launched an Automotive Specialty Practice Group, the firm announced today. The group is led by Jeffrey Green (pictured), a managing director within the firm's global occupier services business.

The new group is made up of CRE experts and business advisers to auto manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and retailers, and is the first Auto SPG of its kind launched by a commercial real estate services firm.

"The world is on the verge of an automotive revolution, sparked by disruptive, technology-driven trends such as diverse mobility, autonomous driving, electrification and connectivity," Jeffrey says, adding the trends will surely add to an increased demand in commercial real estate on a global level.
