CBRE is adding Elaine Philis to its team of capital advisers. Serving as a director and working with Americas institutional capital-raising head Brad Barsily, Elaine is the second addition to the Capital Advisors team this month, with Alex Virtue joining last week as an LA senior managing director.

In a statement, CBRE Capital Advisors managing principal James Scott said with her "extensive track record in capital raising and...range of critical skills," Elaine fit the bill of the kind of proven professionals the firm is adding. She will work out of CBRE's Midtown Manhattan office.

A UConn, UConn Law and NYU Stern graduate, Elaine had previously worked as a capital-raising director at Westbrook Partners and Tishman Speyer and was the head of equity at Lendlease. Most recently, she was at TGM Associates, focusing on investor relations and capital raising.

These have been her focus for the last nine years, before which she worked in real estate finance underwriting and transactional work. Elaine has raised more than $1B in equity capital for various organizations and individuals. She has also structured, underwritten and negotiated $2.5B in mortgage loans and JV equity transactions.
