The Parkes Cos, along with Fulcher Investment Properties, is planning Phase 2 of the Melrose redevelopment.
The first phase remade the historic Melrose Theatre into apartments and retail space, while the second would involve building a mixed-use on more than an acre of adjacent land. Parkes and Fulcher are also planning to sell the first phase.
The Berry Hill Board of Zoning Appeals recently approved Parkes' request for a trailer near the south end of the existing Melrose apartment building. It will be the temporary home for the Regions Bank branch currently on the site where Parkes wants to build, the Tennessean reports. Regions Bank would eventually move back into part of the new mixed-use building, which is being designed by Humphreys & Partners Architects. [Tennessean]
