Show Us Your Fish

South Florida Other

Per our request for fishing tales, Rosenfeld Realty Advisors prez Orin Rosenfeld tells us he goes fishing regularly, as one should living in South Florida. He always uses a fishing captain (who has the cobia, while Orin has the large snapper. Got it?) The story of the cobia and the snapper is a short one. “I caught the snapper and as I was reeling him in, we realized that I also had the cobia,” he says. “We were able to boat them both.”

Orin also likes to catch spinner sharks, a.k.a. black tip sharks. There are usually plenty of them and they make for a nice fight--and then a photo. (That's what Hemingway taught the sport fishermen of the world: pose with that fish!) After long stints at CBRE and NAI Merin Hunter Codman, Orin started his own commercial real estate firm last summer, based in Boca Raton. The company specializes in office and retail, repping both landlords and tenants. We asked for fish tales last week, and Orin was first out of the gate. But we want more! This is South Florida, we ought to be able to do a whole edition of them. Send yours to sibley@bisnow.com
