Like many of its snaps or messages, Snap Inc., the company behind the popular social media messaging platform, will soon disappear from many of its offices in Venice.

The parent company of Snapchat has placed 14 of its Venice beachside office properties, totaling 163K SF, for sublease as it prepares to move its headquarters to Santa Monica, according to CoStar.

Last year, the growing social media company signed a lease to occupy about 300K SF at Blackstone Group's Santa Monica Business Park, marking a departure from years spent operating across multiple offices. The company will keep some offices in Venice, including a headquarters at 63 Market St.

Snap's Venice subleases range from 2,800 SF to 28K SF, according to the LA Times. It should have more employees in Santa Monica than Venice by the middle of the year.

Los Angeles-based Industry Partners and JLL are handling the subleases, according to CoStar.
