Crescent Heights Methodist Church Finally Sells

Placeholder

A private developer has closed escrow on Crescent Heights Methodist Episcopal Church, paying $4.5M.

The West Hollywood church had a predominantly LGBT congregation before it closed six years ago. The unnamed developer plans to renovate the church and previously considered converting the building to office or mixed-use, Curbed Los Angeles reports.

The two-story, 15k SF church also includes a parsonage residence at the corner of Fairfax and Fountain avenues. The church was built for a congregation that began meeting in 1914. The chapel building, including stained glass windows, has historic protection; the parsonage does not.
