Hudson Pacific Properties Gets Go Ahead For Hollywood Project

The LA City Council voted unanimously last week in favor of Hudson Pacific Properties' 15-story, 300k SF office tower in Hollywood. Hudson Pacific Properties EVP Chris Barton will be one of our speakers at Bisnow's Hollywood Boom event Sept. 20.

It will be built at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Bronson Avenue.

Both the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Silverstein Law Firm had tried to block the development.

Chris tells Bisnow Hudson Pacific Properties has “worked closely with the Hollywood community over the past three years to develop a vision that brings good creative jobs" to Hollywood.

"This investment will generate $925M in economic activity, including an estimated 2,100 good jobs and a home for the entertainment, technology and creative industries," Chris says.

Construction is scheduled to begin on the Sunset Boulevard and Bronson Avenue development early next year, according to Curbed.

Hudson Pacific also is developing the Icon at Sunset Bronson Studios in Hollywood along with Gensler and McCarthy Building Cos.

Online streaming giant Netflix has already signed a long-term lease for 323k SF.

To find out about some of the other developments in the works, join our all-star panelists at Bisnow's Hollywood Boom event at 7:30am Sept. 20 at Eastown.
