Metro Rail System Could Funnel Fans To Inglewood Stadium

Now that an NFL team is headed to Inglewood, the big question is how to get people there.

The LA County Board of Supervisors is weighing a proposal that could include light rail. A city committee has been instructed to conduct a feasibility study as well as an EIR for a new light rail line that could serve the Inglewood stadium. It would extend from Florence Avenue in Inglewood to Torrance, possibly on Prairie Avenue, according to Urbanize LA.

The project could be an alternative to the South Bay Transit Corridor Rail Project that's being paid for by Measure R, LA County’s half-cent sales tax.

However, it will more than likely take some time for any light rail to be built as the South Bay Rail Project isn't scheduled to be completed until 2035. [ULA]
