Big News For North Hollywood Development

Placeholder

Though previously competing for development around the North Hollywood Metro Station, Trammell Crow and Greenland USA have formed a JV to build a huge project there.

Metro staff members are recommending the city agency negotiate with the JV. The Cesar Chavez Foundation, Gensler, HKS Architects, Killefer Flammang Architects and Melendrez Inc also would be involved in the project.

The developers want to build a mixed-use development on approximately 15.6 acres.  There are two scenarios being presented.

One would include a pedestrian promenade with space for retail and pop-up galleries on Chandler Boulevard. There may be a future hotel on Lankershim Boulevard and a bus depot, according to Urbanize LA.

The second proposal would include 1,500 units, 450k SF of office space, and 150k SF of ground-floor shops and restaurants.

As part of both proposals, 35% of the housing units would be set aside for affordable housing. [ULA]
