Barracks Benefit Marshall School

Los Angeles

Colony Capital CEO and alum Tom Barrack and his family donated $15M to the USC Marshall School of Business. (That kind of money would buy a lot of oats and hay for Traveler.) The gift will revitalize one of the school’s key facilities—Bridge Hall, built in 1928. Now dubbed Barrack Hall, the building will be reconfigured with offices, classrooms, research centers and gathering areas, with cutting-edge tech to support distance learning and global communication. Barrack Hall will serve as home for Marshall’s 15 international business programs, including the innovative World Bachelor in Business degree. (If you pass the program, do they give you a rose instead of a diploma?) Tom's a member of USC's board of trustees and serves on the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate’s advisory council. He's also a Trojan parent—two of his five kids attend the university.
