New Startup To Introduce Storage To The Sharing Economy

Placeholder

A Netherlands-based startup has launched in the UK with the aim of introducing sharing economy principles to the business of self-storage.

Storage Share aims to connect landlords with extra storage to those in need of storage space using an Airbnb-style listing model. Any person or business with extra space lists the size, type and cost of the available space, which is then posted to Storage Share's searchable app. The company claimed in a press release that its goal is to halve the cost of self-storage, a growing industry in the UK.

The business is a product of an accelerator program run by Pi Labs, a property-focused venture capital firm.
