Placeholder

Skanska celebrated the completion of the its nine-story, Class-A building in the heart of the city, adjacent to The Monument to the Great Fire of London (pictured, before Skanska began work). The Monument Building is Skanska’s first project under its Workplaces by Skanska banner.

The building already has three high-profile tenants. Insurance company UnderwriteMe Technology Solutions leased the ninth floor. TwentyFour Asset Management has taken the eighth, and Booking.com signed a 10-year lease for the entire seventh floor—about 10k SF—of The Monument Building. Savills repped Skanska, and CBRE advised Booking.com.

Skanska erected the The Monument Building in 2013 after demolishing three existing buildings. About 90k SF of the building is office space, while 4k SF is ground-floor retail.

The Monument Building features four terraces, a large reception area, cycle storage and shower facilities. The exterior is fitted with a curtain of twisted fins on the south façade.
