Hong Kong-based SRE Grouup snapped up the London headquarters of French bank Societe Generale for about £84.5M.

Savills marketed the property at 41 Tower Hill—also known as SG House—for Societe Generale and SG Hambrose Bank. Societe Generale retained a leaseback option for a term expiring on 31 March 2020 at a rent of £5.9M per annum, following the relocation of all staff to its new premises at One Bank Street in Canary Wharf in 2019, according to CoStar. Societe Generale pre-let 280k SF in the new building.

The deal is expected to finalize on Sept. 30. [CoStar]
