Buc-ee's Buys Land For Future Katy Location

Placeholder

Katy is one step closer to beaver nuggets now that Buc-ee's has closed on a 15-acre tract in West Ten Business Park at I-10 and Cane Island. The 56k SF store is expected to open next spring with 120 pumps and a car wash. The frontage road will be extended to accommodate the traffic at the new site, reports the Houston Chronicle.

The Katy location will be Buc-ee's 40th and one of the companies largest. The massive travel centers typically employ about 200 people. In March, Katy City Council approved a combination of partial sales tax rebate and property tax abatement for the convenience store chain. [Chron]
