Houston hospitality magnate and host of CNBC reality show Billion Dollar Buyer Tilman Fertitta is buying New York restaurant empire BR Guest, the parent company of the Dos Caminos and Strip House restaurants. Fertitta is acquiring the company from Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Capital Group, which purchased 50% of the business from Stephen Hanson for $150M back in 2007, reports the Houston Business Journal.

BR Guest operates 15 eateries in Manhattan totaling thousands of seats. They will join Fertitta's empire of over 500 restaurants throughout the US, including Morton's, Bubba Gump Shrimp and Rainforest Cafe. The 59-year-old Houston native's net worth is estimated at $2.7B. [HBJ]
