Here’s proof that retail rehabs are paying off—in the five months since beginning renovations at Easton Commons, NewQuest’s Josh Friedlander and team have brought on eight new tenants totaling nearly 33k SF. Josh tells us NewQuest Epic Investments purchased the 191k SF center about a year ago. It was originally built in the ‘80s and had a tired brick look, so the firm did an extensive facelift and just debuted a fresh modern look. (Anchor tenant Kroger Signature also got a new façade.) Since, the leasing team has signed Pet Club, UFC Gym, Beauty Empire, West Oaks Music Studio, and FJ Liquor.

Easton Commons, snapped yesterday afternoon, sits at the NEC of Highway 6 and West Road. NewQuest Epic Investments also is expanding the pad facing Highway 6 from 5,700 SF to nearly 10k SF. Josh tells us three national credit quick service restaurants (including Smashburger and Verts Kebap) will be going into that space. More tenants can take advantage of Easton Commons’ updated look—Josh tells us there are five vacancies remaining ranging from 1,200 to 3,000 SF.
