Life Time wants to make it easier to both work and work out with its new venture.

The national wellness club is launching Life Time Work City Centre Five, a 25K SF shared workspace adjacent to the CityCentre location at 815 Town and Country Blvd. in Houston. The coworking space is expected to open in early 2019.

“We all have seen the impact of technology advancements and other changes influencing how work gets done. However, workspaces haven’t adapted nearly enough to address this evolution,” Life Time founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi said.

The workspace will include different membership types, about 50 offices and shared workspaces, conference rooms, private phone rooms, open meeting spaces, and events with curated content and speakers.

Other services will include healthy food options and freshly brewed coffee. Diamond all club access membership will include access to all of the Life Time athletic resort destinations.

Life Time Work is the company's new national platform to provide a shared work environment that supports a healthier lifestyle for remote professionals, Akradi said. It will also serve as an alternative to the traditional long-term lease or challenges faced by teams working from home.

The Houston location marks the third location in North America, including Life Time Athletic Ardmore in Pennsylvania, which opened earlier this year, and Life Time Work West End outside of Minneapolis, scheduled to open in early 2019.
